Proclaimed more than 200 years in France, but never so present in me at the beginning and the end of 2009. What follows is a mix of memories and conclusions for the year ended more than a few personal resolutions for the coming year. Intro. Winter London
On the streets of London. Looking for entertainment during the cold January of 2009, I am standing in front of a theater with the image of a girl in blue wind. Les Miserables, the musical, we will see what it is. Upon leaving I was imbued with the spirit of freedom that Victor Hugo vindicate 50 years after the well-known revolution. Back to the hotel to drive in hand, never imagining that those issues would accompany me most in 2009.
I. student again
With snow shoes. That left the house of Mrs Anne Harlow towards my English classes in Oxford. Another language, another people, another meal. He was the lone month ever had: February, the month of love and I had a boyfriend to my Ipod. He's so cute, every morning I whispered a song from "Les Mis", responding to my state of mind: "Who am I?" when I was leaving the English to talk about my country (that contains my family, my friends my food, my habits, my land, I), "I Dreamt a dream" when recomposed my ideals to think about my career and taking the audience to my classmates than 20 years old, "Do you hear the people sing?" when reading a news Perulandia social events. In my time in Oxford I learned a lot and missed a lot more. In my memories are chats with Alfre, Santi and Lucho.
II. Bagua
ghosts spirit and I removed 20 years after my old fears returned. This time the face was another, but the violence was the same .... killed among Peruvians! -No comment. Further south, another shadow is spreading, the recycling is gaining ground dictator reinterpreting theories 40 years ago when the world was different, copying failed programs and making the tough guy with his left hand while the right to receive money from those who called enemies. I dreamed that dream recently and has been repeated since then. And repeats the dream white icing, in which everything is overheating, and not only exploding popcorn ...
III. Women's liberation?
A dear friend came to breakfast at home for several months. Of all the issues we reviewed touch with Jane Austen. ! Who knew that both knew and gustare of their stories! When my friend it was I was thinking about what women have advanced in 200 years, from Jane Austin to Paola Vicente. I married for the free choice of my senses, mitigate mitigate the costs and I am the princess of my own domains. But now that I see as Mexican novel cow there and I feel we still have many things to do. In other cultures, a lot more and not only happens for women. In a conversation with a leg chamba is Indian and who married this year I asked, "you married for love?" I do not understand. He continued, "you married for love?" It actually encodes the message, but the metatext not come to me ... bone in the XXI century I question how this leg if I married for love? ... clear then! or is there another way to get married? Then he would tell me that their marriage was arranged by the families of the couple, the same as had 7 days to know before accepting the link. He skirted the 35 and was the bachelor of the family, the bride liked, so I said yes.
IV. Coca Colas, Colas and Crushes Inka
convention may sound a soda, this was the term used to refer to the three known sex: Cokes were men, Inka Colas Crushes girls and gays. Birthday Meeting was a good friend whose uncles were in the kitchen and should not listen to the theme of our conversation, especially since my friend is the group of Crushes. That night and Cokes bluntly, Inka Crushes Colas and talk about the myths that we straights about gays and vice versa, and the way we communicate with each other. That night, for the first time, I was part of a healthy minority.
V. organizational culture chamber
addition to an international body, I do consulting work climate and always find the same constant. All the companies here have a multicultural component, but not only because the leaders are foreigners, but because the local kids from different social strata. Obviously, the small groups are assembled as work teams, ages, gender, background, etc. So far, the thing is nothing to write home. The problem begins when the affinity is governed by profit. They have not been in the workplace that they come together just 2 or 3 strong personalities with great pessimism that a gray cloud suddenly alight across the enterprise? How they think it would be if these people were rather the positive, the proactive, which catch the enthusiasm to others?
VI. An artist in the family
Lucho, my brother, is the creator, director, composer (and everything that ends with or) the project Sounds Live . Alfre, my husband is the producer of all the craziness that has been made on behalf of this project. And it is crazy what they have advanced in so many years, especially this year in theaters and concerts in the Plaza Mayor in Lima and in Montreal, CDs, DVDs and even go shooting a documentary that is being awarded in several festivals. Along the way are old friends and displayed many new ones. Sponsors also appear next year, right? Peruvian music and world music are worth the effort.
VII. National blasting
While many will doubt it, I see on the street (at least for the streets where it always happened). Never have so many new cars, never such order, never so many domestic films, never have so many books on Peruvian food, never so many designer shops or Peruvian designers, never so many plays, never have so many "shows of Dreams ... I hope to change the street can still see the same thing.
VIII. Imagine
few days ago I went to see a play made by special children. With the drama of Mary Cesar, the actors we talked to the "not special" they feel about the look. You can imagine a Christ down? down a girlfriend? a mother down? As you respond to a leg that you Sire in the street if it were down? That day I looked different from that young person I love so much and I looked at myself differently.
"Dignity, Liberty, Fraternity, Equality" was the phrase repeated throughout the night. The dream dreamed 200 years ago was updated and increased dignity.
"Dignity, Liberty, Fraternity, Equality" is what I wish all of you for 2010, to everyone, every day ... in homes, workplaces, streets.
Colophon. Winter London
end in a few days and start the year back to London, will be like closing a circle to start another. My Ipod, my boyfriend's coming with me. He will whisper in my ear his best songs and it will select the new items to accompany me next year. In addition to my songs, which I store for 2010? As the lyrics say "One Day More" from "Les Mis": "tomorrow we will know what God has in store for us, another day, another sunrise, another day ..." This mixture of fear and hope at the thought of a new day never better described, ever.
PS: Here my resolutions for next year and no order of priority
- Driving without closing their eyes
- Sleep ... less
- Write, write, write ... (On the blog, my sister, fiction)
- keep dreaming and working on my dreams
- Playing sports (and consider the playstation game, no?)
- Take up the violin (do not be drawn on rockband?)
- Do not lose my friends (I hope that 2011 is not "recover the lost friends)
