Captain Memo and my generational leap in October

And finally! This time I could see Captain Memo Live. He played last Sunday at the close of CONAMYC , a comics convention held in Lima.

here If you wonder who is the Captain Memo, do not feel a freak. I wondered the same thing when he mentioned Alfre 3 years ago: "El Capitan Memo Aguirre memo is a Chilean musician" ... as I continued to face "ahhhh?, He continued:" ... the leg that he wrote lyrics, music and voice of "Candy Candy", "Marco" "Angel the flower girl," Mazinger Z "," He-Man, "" The festival of robots, "" Fables of the Green Forest ", etc, etc, etc.

Ahhhh! In fact that your face is just like mine at that time. A glimmer of happiness made you smile and just as I also reminded Speed \u200b\u200band Spark, Caty and Rope, the last chapter of Candy which was the creek and yes you could see, Mazinger Z and Aphrodite missiles. And without wanting wanting you came to mind those evenings when you sat in front of your TV eating popcorn and playing with your brothers the festival of robots (My sister and I played with dolls cutouts too.)

let it fly And if your mind will begin to remember all the other details that marked your childhood, when your main concern was to fill the figures in your album "The why of things", do you remember the "Yala, nola, sila ? code more popular when it came time to exchange figures. Or the "ta-ta-ta-ta-Tatata" to drink milk (he had a dairy at home!) Next to Uncle Johnny? Polastri Yola was the queen of the shorter and Cindi Lauper Britney Spears today. Returning to

happy Sunday, I must say that before Memo to play I was not quite located entirely. To begin, we in the midst of a karaoke competition in Japanese, we received several microfalda schoolchildren and red wig (departures of some cosplay) and saw only dolls at auction. I felt alone when only recognized the "Spiderman" to "Yoda" Star Wars "Homer" of The Simpsons meanwhile disguise. So, is my most recent reference in the world of anime comes from the nineties? I struggled to understand this portion of today's generation ... but failed in the attempt. Beginning Japanese I know not, did not know a diva song Salome ('s Extraordinary voice and opening for Memo) and because no one undressed me because there I was the weirdo.

In that moment of frustration anthropological, Captain Memo began his show with a slide show of all musicalized cartoons during the 80's. I made a zapping of my childhood, things that happened over twenty years and I remembered very vividly. I could not help being moved. Each image was the evocation of a happy moment and every song out of my mouth without my noticing. My voice was not only mine, I was part of the mass, the collective unconscious. Screams, laughter, tears and more songs. If there is an analogy for that time, I'd say Angel Memo was finding its seven-color flower in the crowd.

During the concert I also had my analytical moment (I could not help), what if we like the Captain Memo children because it reminds us of rice pudding I want to marry?, What if the quality of each song does not have the emotional component, we would like or would like least?

looked around. Children 5 years raising his little fist and screaming He-man!, Emos of 15 with phones up while chanting "because in the forest we find in the forest ..." and "Sailor Moon" pogueando with "Trek" to the rhythm of it King Arthur is so good ...". Captain Memo knows no generational barriers and when something like that happens, the creator of this phenomenon is just great!

At the end of the evening changed my approach and stopped looking for differences to find similarities. Cartoons always make our childhood, except that our generation lived with the TV signal and open the side of them via youtube comment in a forum on-line. This concert was, without doubt, the best bridge to remember my childhood eighties and put myself in the shoes of the 2000 generation. Captain Memo Thanks!

This Memo was traveling through the galaxy with Capt. Future ... (Thanks youtube!)
